Cristian Fernandes

I Have 25 years of outstanding hands-on restaurant experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to operate great restaurants at scale. I joined after a long and successful career with Wendy’s, where I built my reputation as a true operator who understands the realities of the business from the ground up.

I began my career in restaurant operations and worked my way through key leadership roles, including Restaurant Training Manager, District Manager, and Director of Area Operations, where I directly oversaw 62 restaurants and led a team of 9 District Managers. Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my relentless focus on running “A” level operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

I also bring significant franchise experience, having served as a Franchise Market Director, where I consulted and supported franchise organizations operating more than 200 restaurants. I understand the unique opportunities and challenges franchisees face, and I know how to support Directors, District Managers, and General Managers in driving sales, developing people, and building strong local teams.

Most recently, I served at Wendy’s Restaurant Support Center as Director of Digital & Technology Operations Integration within the Restaurant Operations Services team. In that role, I helped lead the rollout of key technologies, including DoorDash Smart Scale, Automated Drive-Thru Ordering, Handheld POS, and Checkmate Delivery Integration, among others. I was widely respected as the voice of the field, consistently ensuring that new initiatives simplified operations for managers and crews rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

In addition to my operational expertise, I am bilingual in English and Spanish and deeply passionate about coaching, mentoring, and helping team members grow in their careers.
